Bald Eagle

Date: 03/03/2015

Number: 1

An immature bald eagle (no white cap yet), in a pin oak tree on a limb 25 feet above the ground preparing to attack a squirrel across the street in another pin oak tree. I viewed this from a distance of 30 feet. The eagle launched across the street and found the branches were interfering with his flight. The eagle suddenly saw me and flew west, elevating rapidly. Its wingspan was estimated to be roughly 6.5 feet.
