First warm day without rain and one lone monarch was fluttering around the yard and drifted off to the North.
Editor's Note: Texas butterfly expert Mike Quinn commented: "This monarch almost surely from the Texas overwintering population, not from central Mexico. This location is almost due north of the large Houston population, where many monarchs overwintered. Also, first sightings from central Mexico are only now (as of March 30 ) being reported the Rio Grande Valley.
