CAN SOMEONE HELP ANSWER MY QUESTIONS PLEASE???
Before they paused so I could see them, they buzzed by me fast the first few days. Two were in one place humming a constant loud swelling and subsiding hum, alternating, from a big oak. The last few days they've been by where I had the organic sugar water up last year, several competing for the space, though the feeder is not up yet. Should hummers drink sugar water? There are so many flowers blooming I'm going to hold off, unless you think they need it to replenish after their long migration. Do you know where these black chinned ones commute from? These are the exact birds I had last year, and their ancestors probably came here millenia ago.
