This afternoon at 3:30 I counted 178 American Robins from a single location in the Huntington neighbourhood in NW Calgary. More were still arriving when a pair of Merlins came through, scattering most of them. I don't know how many there might be in the whole neighbourhood but I can hear them in all directions. They were not feeding, just resting in the bare trees.
