Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Number: 1

A return to seasonally warm temperatures here in eastside Austin makes the 2nd year milkweed happy. A. incarnata leads the pack surprisingly, with 6" - 1' multi-stalk new growth rocketing skyward and ready for mama Monarchs, as the A. asperula slowly reappears and the few A. viridis still missing. A.curassavica is also sprouting slowly from its stems.
The potted greenhouse plants have gone wild........ 250 blooming plugs get potted up today to quart containers.... 50 3' Tropical are in the Sun... seedlings and more cuttings still in the greenhouse...

Oh, when I had leftover Tropical stalks from taking cuttings in January, I raked back the leaf pile in a new bed, and threw them in and recovered. Raked back last week, and yes, they are sprouting...
