I have been feeding and observing hummingbirds here for 17 years- and this is the earliest by far I have ever seen a Broad tail- distinctive song in flight. . Usually they arrive late April, early May. Only two males yet. Elevation 7,800 ft, northern NM. During high season- July-September when Anna and Rufus are here, I have 15 feeders out, and fill them daily
