Lake Campbell, South Dakota, Brookings County. We have 20 years of ice data that show that ice covered days are less and less each year (but not much). This year, ice was 90% coverage on March 18, 50% on March 19, and 0 % on March 20 when temps were 27-66 F and strong winds were from the south. Lake Campbell is a 800 acre lake with an average depth of 4 ft (max 8 ft) at the bottom of the Battle Creek Watershed.
