At 5:30 pm I saw my first male ruby throated hummingbird of the season at my hummingbird feeder! It has been a beautiful warm spring day. My feeder has been up about a week. Last year my first sighting was on April 5th. I am very happy to welcome this handsome jewel to N. Carolina.
