I was fishing in my neighborhood when I saw the first one in the early afternoon. It didn't allow me to get close enough to determine its sex. The second one was sighted around 5:30 pm. It was definitely a very faded female. She flew so close that I thought she might land on me. I'll be checking my milkweed closely for eggs over the next weeks.
