I was just coming back to the house after fishing when I saw a male Black Chinned hummingbird at one of my feeders around 5:30 pm. My Autumn Sage is starting to bloom so I would imagine that I'll be seeing more hummingbirds in the near future. This boy has probably claimed my garden for his territory. There was another very special first for me this year. It is the first year that the first hummingbird and the first Monarch butterfly were seen on the same day.
