We saw the first on the snow bank outside our window staring in disbelief at the female holly bush completely covered with crusty snow. We cleared away some branches for robin red breast to find the berries. As we put out raspberries, cranberries and diced apple, we could hear fluttering wings. Here was the clever little fellow in behind the holly up against the house getting his own berries where some snow had melted. Another was checking the rose bush for hips. The upcoming week promises above freezing temperatures. So much snow here in Nova Scotia! Will feed daily.
