Third year sighting of same red winged black bird, know its the same one, as each time has come with a flock of black birds followed by starlings, this red winged black bird exhibits same behavioral habits each year, the bird stays at my feeders for a month or more this is the 3rd year this bird has come here this year I was waiting and watching for him. He is very proprietary with the feeder he uses in a wild space area I have created in my yard and sits on top of the feeder singing loudly, took him about 4 days to re-establish himself here this time he seemed timid more this year then last but is singing and puffing feathers now. I have a swamp marsh area a slew back of my property eventually he moves back there and visits intermittently.
