First Broad-tailed male checking out our feeders around 10:30am and then feeding at front feeder at 6:40pm. I've been setting out feeders in mid-March for years. One year we had a lost rufous feed in late March and our BT, Caliopes and Black-chins often arrive earlier than reported by other watchers. Those early feeders are their lifeline when there are no flowers nor insects during their harsh migration.
