This is a 2nd report mainly to post a photo of one of the lovely, long-journeyed monarchs laying her eggs on a milkweed. She was one of 10 that I observed this morning from 10:30 to noon. Thankfully, she let me follow her around a bit, not being too disturbed. The milkweed is abundant in our pastures, some still just emerging and some already starting to flower. The monarchs are doing a wonderful job of laying many precious eggs in the nursery.
