At sunrise a robin was chirping like crazy outside my bedroom window and woke me up. During the day, other robins were spotted hopping around on the ground looking for food. They were probably getting only bugs at this point, as there was no tugging at worms noted. This is the first time the robins have been noted by me to be actually on the ground looking for food. we have been getting waves of mild weather in the single to low 2-digit numbers but also still getting intermittent periods of snowflakes.
