I took a brief walk yesterday (April 6th) in the preserved prairie section of Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas (North of Dallas), and was pleased to see at least one Monarch coming through. There may have been more than one, but they did not hold still for photos so well!
Milkweeds were well sprouted, but the butterfly(ies) were moving pretty fast, and I didn't see any eggs.
