We started seeing eggs last Saturday and are now seeing them in larger numbers over the past day or so
We currently have close to 40 eggs and still have multiple females actively laying eggs today
All of our eggs are being found on Asclepias Asperula....in spite of the fact that we have both A. Curassavica and A. Tuberosa present on our lot
We noticed that same thing last year early in the season.....and a reversal later in the spring
We estimated the arrival here of the Monarchs from the mass departure reported on the 24th to be about 2 weeks
This seems to be holding pretty close to schedule from what we've seen the past day or so
We have seen at least 5-6 Monarchs today and most of them are females
The season may be off to a late start.....but it's doing well now
