There has been a steady flow of remigrants thru our pasture northeast of Westhoff for over a week now. Last Friday (April 3) my brother had a count of over twenty flying generally to the north while he was doing some work on his tractor. We were out Monday (April 6) and did a very deliberate count for seven hours and counted 35 Monarchs by 6 PM. Now a week later (April 9) he called again to say Monarchs were coming by at about the same rate as last Friday. We have a good coverage of native milkweeds and for the first time in four years there has been the needed rains for the wildflowers.
