We planted our tulips late this year, waiting until almost then end of January to get them in the ground. We got lots of cold and snowy weather early this fall, preventing us from getting out into the garden until a warm and sunny January day. We had chilled the bulbs in the shed outside to cool them down for a few weeks before planting, and they just emerged this week! We are grateful that our experiment worked, and they were still able to grow beautiful tulips!
