I was putting up my Purple Martin gourds on one of our first sunny warm days and sat down to watch the activity in the backyard. Flying in circles around the bluebird boxes and exploring the yard was a very active whirling barn swallow. For a time I thought he might be interested in the bluebird box but off he went.
