While putting a hummingbird perch on a round trellis in my garden I spied a male Ruby Throat near our juniper tree. He checked me out and off he flew. I ran into the house to tell my husband, and there he was drinking from the feeder outside the bedroom window. It was 2:21 pm, 64 degrees, mostly cloudy with winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Earlier then last year by 11 days. And so it begins.....
