Driving down Lanes Creek Road and saw what I originally thought was a vulture feeding on a dead turtle. However, as I drove closer and the bird took flight, I noticed right away that head was white and the tail was white. This was a young male Bald Eagle. The area where I saw the eagle is on a back road that has very little traffic and has a good deal of forest. He was beautiful! I hope to see him again. I will keep looking and make sure to have my camera next time.
