At 3:15 pm I watched my first ruby throat seen @the Virginia Living Museum examining every bloom on our Coral Honeysuckle [Lonicera sempervirens] arbor which stands just outside the Holt Conservatory near the Hobbit House next to the Children's Learning Garden. Only a few blooms were open, so it did not linger long, and the bird's back was to me the whole time. I could not tell what gender the bird was, it was too fast.
