Greetings from Virginia's Eastern Shore!
I'm excited to say that my butterfly weed appeared about a week ago (April 15) and is about 6 inches high (April 22)! (It is always a surprise this early in the season and of course, much too early for any monarchs in this area... but nevertheless is a welcome sight!) Also, the swamp milkweed has appeared and is about 6 inches high!
Looking forward to another season with Journey North and hoping that the many efforts to spread awareness to the public about the plight of the monarchs will pay off! I'll do my best to keep up here on the Eastern Shore!
