The patches were covered with ice and snow for a long time. On April 21st we noticed some red/green sprouts. There were two in one area and one in another. The two were smaller and the one was bigger. Today, two days later, on April 23rd more are up - about 6 now altogether. They measured between 2 and 1/4 inch high. We are looking forward to seeing these beauties in our currently brown yard!
