Our first egg hatched April 21. The remaining 30 eggs hatched on April 22. We have hundreds of common milkweed plants and she choose the small butterfly weed. Up to four eggs on a leaf. Here are three eggs hatching at different stages. One egg hatched, one is black, one has just the black head.
