I actually put out feeders the first week in April when the fist hummer appeared. My buckeye had not yet flowered. But this sighting was of a ruby throat nectaring from the Red Buckeye flowers in my front yard. They are in full bloom now. It is the first year the hummers arrived before the blossoms. I also have native honeysuckle to attract the early arrivals. They have just recently bloomed.
