I do have milkweed emerging in my own gardens. I grow Purple (A. purpurascens), Showy (A. speciosa) and Swamp (A. incarnata). There is also a little Butterfly Milkweed (A. tuberosa) and I had some Common Milkweed (A. syriaca) pop up spontaneously last year. I cannot speak for what is happening in the local prairie, but I imagine it is starting to pop with A. syriaca. No Monarchs yet, but hope to see them soon!
