It was an L2 found on Asclepias fascicularis. However, I could find no eggs, though I did search.

(I did find 2 eggs in this same area on April 12 (15 days ago), took them home and they did not seem to be viable, collapsed immediately even though kept on damp towel.) Some of the plants had frost-burned tips, so perhaps they got too cold.
