Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/29/2015

Number: 1

We are well into Spring in Central Montana. Today the temp might reach near 80 degrees. We are fortunate to have had lots of snow and rain this spring as this area of the state is as green as green can get. Southwest Montana is in a near drought condition and the closer you go to California you go the worst it get. Rains here last week end left heavy amounts of snow in the Mountains all around Lewistown.

We have seen lots of Robins since March 15 and have watched them build nests and hear them singing especially in the morning as I walk to school. At times you could count over 100 Robins looking for worms in the city parks. We have also seen Red Winged Blackbirds in the ponds near the school and there were many Western Meadowlarks singing to me on my run this morning.
