Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 04/28/2015

Number: 1

A robin singing this morning, although he sounded a little out of practice and not yet in full voice. I think this is the earliest report we have had. Weather is weather, and climate is climate, but I can't help feeling that this is another indication of how quickly things are changing here in the north. Some of our other early choristers (juncos, ruby-crowned kinglets, varied thrushes) have been singing also, and also somewhat before they were expected. And again, although I have seen many springs here, I am surprised by how the season's arrival lifts my spirits.
