My wife and I found 6 5th instars on Antelope horn on shallow soils. Found no larvae on the deep creek bottom soils even though we found many eggs in that area. Suspect fire ant predation on the deep soils. Fire ants populations are less on the shallow/rocky soils where we found the 5th instars.
