Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/01/2015

Number: 1

A little Ruby Male noted arrival at our feeders at 1150am today and continued to visit feeders about every 20 minutes plus or minus 10 minutes for a sip. On his second visit I was able to get a photo. Most likely one of our males from last year as he ignored the flowers and went right to the feeders. Just saw him at 7:45pm about 10 minutes after sunset time. Overcast sky, might rain tonight or tomorrow. We will watch if he stays around tomorrow. Night time temps about 38 degrees but day time in the mid to upper 50s now. Lots of little gnats and flying bugs in the area so he should do fine now.
