Saw the first "Orange Jewel" today - a day earlier than the past 2 years, but that is certainly OK with me, as these stunning orioles with their melodious songs are welcome any time.
He was at the liquid feeder, which is what they normally seem to do on their first visit. But I'm sure they will switch over to grape jelly. Last year, we went thru over 16 pounds of grape jelly and a couple pounds of other assorted jellys. But having them in the yard is worth every penny spent on their food.
