Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 04/20/2015

Number: 1

Hummingbird at feeder briefly, mid-morning. Not a good enough look for a positive ID, but probably a female rufous. It was definitely a female of some species. I didn't see the usual little patch of red on the throat, but this is much too early for black-chinned hummers, and she was too big to be a Calliope. She didn't look gray enough to be an Anna's. This is the earliest I have ever seen a hummingbird here.
