I was at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, located at this address: Seward Hwy, Girdwood, AK 99587
As I was admiring "Adonis" the bald eagle, a little hummingbird, shining like an emerald in the sun, suddenly flew through Adonis' cage and hovered around for about 30 seconds, then flew away! It was so amazing to see the size difference between these two beautiful birds! Wow - first sighting of a hummingbird for me since I arrived in Alaska last May 2014! What a gift! :)
