Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/03/2015

Number: 1

Yesterday (May 2) during the Cibolo Nature Center's Monarch Workshop, I saw a re-migrant. When I got home, I saw a Gen1.
We checked the milkweed at Herff Farm, a new part of the nature center, and found eggs and a few larvae.
We have not seen a larva this year in the CNC MLMP milkweed patch, not a good sign. We did not see any larvae in 2014. We have been monitoring the milkweed patch at CNC since 2002 and have always found larvae until 2014.

Last week at Guadalupe River State Park (Spring Branch), Craig Hensley saw a re-migrant ovipositing and Gen1's flying around in their large MLMP milkweed patch that they monitor.
