Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/05/2015

Number: 1

Male feeding, perching and spending most of his time by a west feeder which has branches, pink survey tape and a traditional Perky Pet feeder--8:40 AM, overcast, 50 degrees, breeze.

Very few flowers, "natural nectar" available in Mid Mochigan at this time: dogwood, dicentria luxuriant, pachysandra, daffodils, corydalis--other plants are starting to emerge. We're honored to host and provide a hummingbird habitat / bed and breakfast :) Presently 5 feeders situated in "favorite hummingbird spots" from last year, ready for additional, tiny, guests, as they arrive.
