Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/02/2015

Number: 1

Visiting a local Nursery to buy annuals and a Monarch was dancing in the flowers. Thrilling! So excited I didn't think to take a picture.

I know exactly what a monarch looks like... I have been bringing in the eggs from my gardens for the past several years, watching their life cycle and setting them free.

I know this is early. But I watched this beautiful Monarch gracefully fly from blossom to blossom for about 10 minutes. Amazing.

My milkweed is now 4- 5 inches. And yes, I begin checking for eggs as soon as the sprouts break through the soil. None to date.

Our Spring came very early this year.
