Well, I thought maybe the hummingbirds were skipping us this year. They've been sighted to the south, west, east, and north of us. Finally, today I saw the first male approach, leave, and then quickly come back for a drink from one of our feeders. I thought maybe I'd been seeing them flitting around our crabapple trees for a few days, but couldn't make a positive ID. Definite action today, with light winds from the south.
