Male. First sighting not at home this year. Happened to catch sight of him while looking at warblers. Sighted at the Lake Wilcox Fish & Wildlife Refuge in Oak Ridges. I was surprised he seemed to get nectar from the tree flowers. He does a pretty good job camoflaging with the tree... I was far away and only the sparkle caught my eye!
Now I'm just waiting (im-)patiently for them to come to my feeders!
