Saw my first ever "returning" Baltimore Oriole male at 9:45 this morning.
He first went to the hummingbird feeders, then looked around and spotted the orange halves we have on the larger orange Oriole feeder, where he had a few pecks. I'm sure he'll be back, but for now he missed the 2 jelly feeders that were slightly to the side of the bigger oriole feeder! Now that I've seen one here, I'll add the liquid nectar to the feeder that holds the orange halves for them, didn't want to put that out to spoil until I knew they were in the neighbourhood!
We had at least 2 hatches last year somewhere nearby, I'm hoping this was either the parent or one of the youngsters.
