Yesterday evening in the kitchen before dark my eye caught movement by the honeysuckle trellis, a fleeting shadow, not the oriole, emerging again a tiny presence to hover and flit, ruby throated, dancing to drink from one fluted red blossom to another. I stood still in awe, drinking in the beauty.
