This was the 1st male of season, spotted feeding at bleeding heart flowers. Usually hang feeders around the 1st of May, but this year I hung on April 17 as this site reported they had arrived at my latitude the week before, at had reached Lake Erie a few days prior to April 17. I have never seen any at my latitude prior to May 1, and I'm about 25 miles south of Lake Erie. Average arrival date here is between May 3 and May 7.
