I just happened to look up at my window as a bald eagle was flying over my house within 30 feet of the window. My husband Roger was on our deck on the south side of the house at the same time and confirmed it was a bald eagle. I have also noticed I am hearing the screeching at least a few times a week over the past couple of weeks. We built our house at the top of a field and our neighbor's field borders our property, so I am not surprised when I see hawks soaring overhead but this was my first close bald eagle sighting.
