Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/28/2015

Number: 1

While writing a newsletter article on our backyard porch, an adult Monarch flitted by. I couldn't tell whether it was male or female. Nonetheless, I expected it to stop on our Common Milkweed patch just a few feet away from me. It didn't. Instead it flew off toward the front yard where there are Swamp, Sullivant's, and Butterfly Milkweed I ran to the front looking for the butterfly again hoping it would check out the milkweed. But I didn't see it. Well, back to work.
