I saw a Monarch in my garden going from plant to plant as if looking for something. After about 10 minutes she found the swamp milkweed and landed there briefly. A short distance away she found the common milkweed and laid at least three eggs. It's the first time I've observed a Monarch laying eggs and seen what they actually look like on a milkweed plant.
