Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/28/2015

Number: 1

Found the first larva in our house today. I harvested the egg from common milkweed from the grader ditch along a local rural road during my morning run here in east central Illinois on May 25, 2015. Did not find any more eggs until this morning when I gathered 5. I pretty much only harvest eggs from roadsides which are subject to mowing by the farmers at random times.
