Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/28/2015

Number: 1

Despite my best efforts the wasps have decimated the caterpillars on my plants over the last several weeks. Much worse than any other year. A few have managed to survive and hatch.
Despite our poor weather and all the rain, I have been seeing Monarchs daily over the last 10 days laying eggs on the milk weed in my yard. Some look fresh and bright, others look travel worn and ragged. All seem to be very enthusiastic about laying eggs, but it seems late in the year for them to still be here.
