Sitting on the back porch last evening where we have a large feeder & we got to see our first ruby-throat of the season. He came up, had a seat on the perch, & drank very comfortably as we watched from 3 ft. away. I grow nasturiums, vining black-eyed susans & morning glories up the columns on the porch each summer & the hummers love playing in them & I get many up close photos every day of the summer. No photo of this sighting, unfortunately.
